1. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the Medical Technology of New Zealand (MTANZ) owns copyright for the content presented in the webcast. Some of the copyright for the content on this website may be owned by individual presenters and is included on our website under a licence or agreement. Webcast events and recordings are to be viewed by the registrant only; the content must under no circumstances be recorded or reproduced.
The purchase of webcast attendance is for use by the purchaser only and registration information should not be forwarded on to third parties; doing so may hinder your own access, as webcast entry is by prior registration only. Similarly, the materials and replay of webcasts are for use by the purchaser only and should not be forwarded on to third parties. Responsibility for the confidentiality and security of webcast registration information and event materials issued by MTANZ lies with the registrant. If you believe that a third party has obtained details in an unauthorised manner, please promptly notify MTANZ.
2. Learning Outcomes
MTANZ is not liable for the detailed content of any webcasts, quality of presentation or if learning outcomes did not entirely meet expectations.
3. Links from the webcast
Webcasts may contain links to other websites over which MTANZ has no control. MTANZ makes no representations about the accuracy of information contained on those websites. We are not liable for the content on those websites.
By registering for the webcast, consent is given for application details to be provided to MTANZ’s provider of its audio- and web-conferencing services to set up the webcast.
5. Webcasts are recorded
The virtual event facility includes a feature that allows audio and any documents and other materials exchanged or viewed during the session to be recorded. By joining a session, you automatically consent to such recordings. If you do not consent to the recording, MTANZ to discuss your concerns in good time prior to the web-event date.
All registrants will have access to the recording of the full day webcast after the 25th of June 2020. A link will be provided.
Cancellations must be received in writing at least seven days before the date of the event and will be subject to an administration charge of 10%. It is regretted that cancellations made after this time will not be accepted and the delegate will be liable for the full event fee. If for any reason, the webcast is required to be cancelled by MTANZ, a notification email will be sent as soon as possible and a refund will apply.
7. Webcast materials
The webcast presenter may provide reference materials for your use during or after the webcast. These may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- a copy of the webcast slides
- sample documents, templates or other material for use during the webcast
All webcast-related materials remain copyright of the respective owner. They must not be distributed to any third party at any time or in any form without written permission from the owner.
In connection with the operation of the webcast we will ask you to provide us with information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you ("Personal Information") when you register for the use of the service. The Personal Information that you provide us in these circumstances will be provided to MTANZ's provider of its audio- and web-conferencing services, and vendors that assist them in processing the information, for the sole purpose of enabling them to operate and deliver the webcast service. It is a requirement of MTANZ's partner vendors to enter into an agreement prohibiting disclosure of this information to others and restricting its use to providing the contracted services of the webcast. The only exception to this is necessary disclosure for legal purposes in line edicts of the law.
MTANZ’s provider of its audio- and web-conferencing services for webcasts is a market-leader of audio- and web-conferencing services. With this comes the understanding of users' need for privacy when using the web for communications and the utmost care in providing the highest levels of security possible. The Personal Information that MTANZ’s provider of its audio- and web-conferencing services collect from webcast registrants is stored in operating environments that employ reasonable security measures and that are not available to the general public. MTANZ and MTANZ's provider of its audio- and web-conferencing services are not responsible for unauthorised access to such information by hackers or others that obtain access through illegal measures.
