The health system in Aotearoa is poised for the most significant change in recent history with the disestablishment of the 20 DHBs and the establishment of Health NZ and the Maori Health Authority. 

We invite you to join us in Auckland for HealthTech Week titled ‘Aotearoa – the Revolution in Health’. This year the conference will delve into all aspects of the changes that are taking place around the NZ health system as well as health innovation. Over four days, we will cover the new technologies in the development pipeline, how these will be made available through the new system, tackle market access in this new world, and how we can collectively contribute to achieving the goals set by the Pae Ora (healthy futures) Bill.

MTANZ, Callaghan Innovation and the Consortium for Medical Device Technologies (CMDT) have again partnered to bring you Innovation Day. This year we showcase the latest innovations being developed by the NZ MedTech sector and the new initiatives that will create an innovation ecosystem that will support continued growth of our sector and the impact it contributes to New Zealand’s health, society and economy.

HealthTech Week has widened its collaborations to encompass the other associations such as the Aoteroa Brain Project, Digital Health Association (DHA formerly NZHiT), Medicines NZ (MNZ), Health informatics NZ (HiNZ) to bring you a broadened perspective of the transition and health innovation encompassing neurotech, data & digital and medicines. We also welcome the Australian delegates from the Trans-Tasman BioBridge programme to share their perspectives on translational research and opportunities to collaborate.

Healthtech Week brings the NZ medical technology community together connecting government, industry, healthcare providers and academia with the aim of providing healthier lives for New Zealanders. We look forward to you joining us to start Healthtech Week with the Innovation Day.
