The Te Tītoki Mataora Forum offers three exciting opportunities for awards and prizes for various stages of the health innovation and medical technology commercialisation journey.

The HealthTech Award for Best Translational Research Project
Open to research projects that meet the criteria for RAP Stage II and III, the HealthTech Award recognises exceptional projects which have the potential to make a significant impact on a major healthcare problem, demonstrate innovation in concept, have potential for translation and/or commercialisation and are effectively communicated.

The Research Exchange Pitch Session
Open to research projects that meet the requirements for a RAP Stage II project in the concept development phase. This pitch session is being introduced to the HealthTech Week 2024 programme and will select five finalists to pitch their project to a panel of judges with the chance to win five prize packages.

CMDT Early-Career Researcher Awards
Open to post-graduate students and early to mid-career researchers (<10 years post PhD). The CMDT Early-Career Researcher Awards celebrate future leaders with the opportunity to present during the HealthTech Week conference and to win prizes.

The Research Exchange
An evening event with a showcase of the latest medical technology development from research groups through to start-ups across Aotearoa New Zealand. 
We are currently taking expressions of interest for groups who would like to showcase their technology to other researchers, clinicians, government and industry members.
